2010: Bachelors of Science: Political Science
Concentration: International Relations and Political Philosophy
GPA: 3.7
I’ve heard all of the nicknames and jokes. Yes, I’m a “Brojan,” a “Truin,” a person “divided.” More specifically, I did my undergraduate work at UCLA, earning a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. A few years later, I enrolled in USC’s fully employed MBA program, eventually graduating with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Despite what the die-hard Bruins and Trojans might say, I had a fantastic experience at both universities! At UCLA, I learned to research, read and write analytically under the tutelage of some of the finest academic minds in the country. At USC, I learned to apply both fundamental and complex business concepts from statured business professionals who were gracious enough to share their knowledge.
I have listed below relevant coursework and personal personal growth that I experienced during my time at both of these prestigious institutions. To find out who I root for on gameday, you’ll have to reach out.

Set Audacious Goals:
Though it doesn’t appear on my transcripts, I transferred into UCLA. After a mediocre academic performance in high school, I found myself working two jobs and attending community college. The less intimidating path would have been to consider myself a worker first and a student second. That might have led me to where I am today, but not likely. I wanted to change the way that I approached personal and professional success, so I set the audacious goal of getting into UCLA. With focus, effort and a lot of patience I was able to achieve that goal.
One Foot In Front of the Other…Repeat…
The most challenging year of my life was 2016. Professionally, my company was at a challenging phase of growth that required roughly 60 hours a week of work. Meanwhile I was in the middle of my MBA program, requiring much of my “nights and weekends” time. Incase that wasn’t enough, my oldest daughter was born that year. When life throws more at me than I can handle, I have a mantra “One Foot In Front of the Other… Repeat…” It has gotten me through some impossibly challenging times.
