Hi There...
I do have a traditional resume, but I thought that this might be a fun way to share more about myself and my professional experience. Feel free to poke around. Hopefully we can connect soon!
Summary:
I have 10 years of account management, customer success and expansion sales leadership experience with a track record of exceeding revenue targets and building teams at growth stage companies; particularly in the SaaS space. I am passionate about mentoring and growing talented professionals. I take pride in contributing to the career successes of those that I work with. I am a collaborative leader who makes data-driven decisions to build long-term, sustainable success.
Key Take Aways:
Built for growth
Establishing and scaling account management and expansion motions is my core competency. I have built teams from the ground up and restructured newly-acquired teams for sustained success and revenue growth
Goals are for beating
Achieving revenue targets is great; understanding why you hit them and building a program for consistent success is better… Continually learning and reinventing playbooks to exceed expectations is a hallmark of my career!
Who am I?
In the preceeding sections and pages, you will read a lot about my professional experiences, checked boxes and accomplishments. In addition to these items, I’d like to elaborate on some of the character traits that I bring into the workplace:
Grit:
At growth Stage companies, the going often gets tough. I am one of the tough ones who gets going! I have a track record of persevering through the adversity of growing a company and doing whatever it takes to win. This often includes doing my “9-5” during my “5-9” in order to be present and equip my team to be successful.
Creativity:
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I am not afraid to throw away the playbook and invent a new one if what was working yesterday isn’t working today. I have done this several times in my career to evolve to either changing market or business conditions.
Empathy:
To me, lasting success is lifting up those in my orbit and helping them to reach their professional goals. I have coached and mentored several professionals to help them to achieve both promotions and to take on new challenges.
Don’t Take My Word For It…
Here are some references from those that I have worked closest with:
What I’ve Learned
As I’ve progressed in my career, I have taken away a few lessons and values that have become a hallmark of my professional brand. These are are the “why’s” that helped me earn the “what’s” that you’ll read about:
Generosity
With my time, my calendar and my experience.
Sharing is caring! Over the years, I’ve learned that generously sharing my time, feedback and experiences has helped me to grow my career and to help those around me reach their professional goals
As a leader, I enjoy coaching and mentoring my team members. Their success and professional growth is a top priority for me, and I would gladly drop what I am doing to coach a team member through a work scenario.
Generosity and a “yes mentality” in project settings is a must as well. It’s easy to stay in your swim lane and hide in the back of the proverbial zoom room. I created a set of skills and experiences by volunteering to take on more than my fair share, and it has added “helpfulness” to my personal brand.
Curiosity
Finding the “why” behind the “what”
I’ll say it… I am a total data nerd! When it comes to driving results and making impactful changes, making data-driven decisions is the most important thing that you can do. There is a lot of noise in the high-growth environments where I’ve worked. Measuring everything cuts straight through the noise and helps to make objective decisions.
Data Analytics was my emphasis in my MBA program, and I have used the skills that I’ve learned to determine which segments to attack to increase upsell, to optimize foreclosure criteria to decrease bad debt and several other projects and to create gage customer health to increase retention.
Transparency
With a splash of empathy
Transparency with a splash of empathy is my philosophy for how to comport yourself with customers and coworkers alike. I have lead account management and expansion sales teams in the B2B SaaS space for quite some time now; at the end of the day, we all want to know how to work better together. Sometimes that may be admitting a miss and promising to do better. Other times that may be setting expectations. In both scenarios, transparency will gain you trust and win the respect of the people in your orbit.
